Prospects for the Development of Foreign Business in the Kuban Region Will Be Discussed at the International Investment Forum “Sochi-2015”

Representatives of the regional executive authorities, large companies and enterprises of the region created with the involvement of foreign capital, as well as experts will discuss the key issues of cooperation, creation of favorable conditions for business and development of the economy of Kuban as a part of the round table "Foreign Investment in the Krasnodar region: Experience and Prospects", which will take place on October 2, 2015 at the stand of the Krasnodar region from 14:00 till 15:00 hours.

The Minister of Economy of the Krasnodar Region Igor Galas will be a moderator of the event. The Chairman of the Southern Regional Committee of the Association of European Businesses Oleg Zharko, the managing director of the agriculture sector of the Bonduelle Russian Group Sergey Kovalyov, the managing director of corporate affairs and relations with public authorities in southern Russia of the OJSC Philip Morris Kuban Yelena Kiyanova and others will be as invited experts.

In particular, the participants of the round table will discuss the development of economic cooperation between Europe and the Krasnodar region, social orientation of the investment projects implemented by companies established with the participation of foreign capital in the region, prospects for the localization of foreign production in the region, the main factors contributing to the inflow of foreign investments into the regional economy and many others.

It is necessary to add that more than 3.2 billion US dollars of foreign investments were attracted into the economy of the Krasnodar region during the last three years (2012-2014). Today, about 830 enterprises with participation of foreign companies from more than 70 countries were created in the Kuban region. Following the results of the first half of 2015, 6 investment projects involving foreign investors from Germany, Spain, Norway, France, with a total amount of over 7.5 billion rubles are on the active stage of implementation.

The rights of investors in the region – both Russian and foreign ones – are safely protected by the investment legislation. The region has the state system of investment support, starting from the moment of submission of the declaration of intention on constructing a facility and ending its commissioning. Investors are guaranteed with the very tangible benefits and preferences.

A systematic work to improve the investment climate in the region creating favorable conditions for business operations and promoting investment potential to foreign markets is carried out on the regional level.
